Chick Cam

Whole school Science lessons have been quite literally be ‘brought to life' via the web!

To celebrate National Science Week, pupils have excitingly taken delivery of 12 fertilised hen eggs. Since there arrival in school we have had a Web Cam, or Chick Cam, poised on them taking regular photos. These images have been automatically sent to the school website enabling pupils to keep track of the process from home!

Today we captured the hatching of 2 eggs, one was witness by a live video feed (which is available to any schools on the YHGfL) by the year 1 ICT club and another in a whole school assembly! The live feed is also been broadcast on the large screen in the receptionarea.
